Three Things
(2004)

One day I shall ask for forgiveness for three things
A most cherished template of wisdom learned too late

Years slide by, without a hint of your presence not hindered by hatred
Of many things that were left unsaid, there is three
I wish for moments in time, never having them is my greatest fear
These things cannot be written nor filtered through phone lines
These three things I shall carry forever, callous mistakes made to thee

Alone in thoughts that I could hurt someone so unjustly
Pained am I to look back at what I was in truth
The demon of mistrust that followed my shadows has gone
Light splinters through and shines in limitedly

The years lived side by side, before and after my greatest pride
Seem to waver of dream states to a endless punishments I take in stride
Standing hear looking through the hour glass, my room with a view
Staring to horizons far, truthful whispers I have just for you

Father Time watches over me
Lady Justice follows endlessly
One day I shall lessen a burden I willingly carry
One day I will share my regret of these three things
